Charging Electric car Batteries

If as the Government want us to buy electric cars How would people who live in terraced houses with parking restrictions on the road in front of their house Charge their Electric car Batteries up?.

You would have to go to the nearest charging point.They are sited in car parks etc.There are some on the flat iron car park in Chorley
