Gin Pit in Wigan

Was here today...(Hiya Tonkiepoos)

My Dad was born in Gin Pit Village.

His Dad, my Granddad, sank a new shaft there.

A lovely place, Ray. Enjoyed lookijng about. The pit shaft is surrounded by new builds, the rest is nice, inc. the old houses and the infants school that is now flats.
