The train, on which the incident occurred, was travelling from Southport to Manchester on the Manchester / Southport line and it belonged to Deutsche Bahn, the German owners of Northern rail.

If they come from Appley Bridge, you would think that kids from a place like that, might be better than kids brought up on a bad council estates, but believe me that is not the case.

Places like Appley Bridge and Parbold and Golborne have always been hotspots for young uns dooing runners from taxis, there are some right shithouses living on seemingly nice private housing estates, in nice picturesque villages ...
