Spent a few hundred in the last couple of weeks on plants for the garden. Hope they all survive as that's where they are now, planted.

Mrs A..I used to think it meant the month of May..but it means the Mayflower or Hawthorne which is in flower in April and May.

My mum, as do others used to say this about planting out. Meaning there can be a cold snap in May which could kill your plants. It is indeed a Mayflower/Hawthorn bush

No Tom i go to Bickershaw nurseries,most plants are only a pound each,by the way i've put some hanging baskets out under the veranda today,hope that frost stays away.
